As of September 1st, 2021, Ontario Optometrists will no longer provide OHIP-covered eye exams for presently covered patients until further notice.

Please bear in mind that it is not the policy of an individual office, local optometrist, or vision care practice but a collective action by all Ontario Optometrists to get fair reimbursements for the service they provide.

Please be patient as we at Whitby Optical are closely monitoring the situation and have no control over the College or the Optometrists Association of Ontario. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

As we ease into the new phase of the Public Health measures, we at Whitby Optical would like to thank every one of our patrons, patients, and well-wishers who have helped us safely navigate a most stressful and challenging year.

We continue to operate and adhere to strict Covid-19 public health measures to safely serve our clients and patients (as per Ministry of Health and the College of Opticians and Optometrists of Ontario requirements and guidelines).
